No, this isn’t a spam like ‘this one pill can make you lose 15 kgs in 1 week’.

Like they say, ‘life is a rollercoaster’ and the phrase couldn’t be any truer. But sometimes the rollercoaster can hit an all-time low and it feels like you’re not going to live to see the end of it. The tunnel seems darker than ever and there appears absolutely no light at the end of it. (The number of ride-related metaphors makes this feel like a really depressing amusement park, doesn’t it?) The point is, sometimes, life can suck and you might not know how to deal with all the stress.

Well, do not fret!

Life hacks can sound really phony at first but there are some that have been tried and tested in the worst kind of situations like a major heartbreak, the death of your soul, your pinky toe getting hit on furniture and various other disasters. So, here goes!

Let go of the past!

Holding on to the past is kind of like holding on to a fart. The more you hold on to it, the more upset your stomach gets. Sometimes, you need to just let go (preferably in a toilet if you’re taking the metaphor literally).

Don’t take everything personally!

Have you ever caught yourself saying, “That b**ch was talking about me, wasn’t she?” Maybe she wasn’t! You don’t have to take everything personally. Maybe she was just talking about the weather.

Stop worrying about the future!

“Is he going to hold my hand?” “Will she say I love you back?” “Will the world really end as NASA claims” Just shush. Take a deep breath. Stop fretting about what will happen and focus on what is happening. Go ahead and hold his hand; tell her you love her without worrying about her reply; and finally, they said the world will end in 2012 too, didn’t they?

Life can be a *sighs and tries not to abuse* pain sometimes but that doesn’t mean you have to dramatically stand in the shower and think about everything that’s going wrong. Sometimes, you need to think of the better things (ref. chocolate, pizza, puppies, cat videos).

So, no matter how clichéd it sounds, don’t worry about life too much. Nobody gets out alive anyway!

Love,

A life-hacker (?)
