You thought having bad days was a pain? *cue manic laughter*
So what’s a bad week? It’s not one, two, or three bad days. It’s a series of days where you either step in sh*t or feel like sh*t. Like they say, ‘misery loves company’, these days tend to walk in herds if not groups and collectively make you feel like death at this point would be a sweet relief.
How boring would a rollercoaster be if there were no ups and downs?
You’ve received consecutive failures and you can’t stomach another one. Your stress pile could beat the height of the Everest. Even the people you’re close to aren’t comforting enough. But no matter how clichéd it sounds, how boring would a rollercoaster be if there were no ups and downs? (Totally coincidental rhymes, by the way.)
What you should remember is that it’s okay to be in a place of struggle. It’s okay to fight. It’s okay to feel worthless for a day. But the next, you have to pull yourself together and face things like your mascara never got ruined by tears last night.
Your destination is your calm and without it, you’re lost!
You have to remember that you will never cross the ocean if you’re too scared to lose sight of the shore. Your happiness isn’t a choice along the way. It is the destination. The path may seem a little astray at times. Your feet might get blisters. You may find consecutive dead ends or simply find yourself going round in circles. But your destination is your calm and without it, you’re lost!
So, dear person having a bad week, this is just a phase and you will get over it. You have to! So get up, put the box of tissues away, quit pitying yourself and go do what you do best!
Someone who believes in you!
