You really think you’ll be able to get away so easily?
First things first, I don’t like your fiancée anymore. Something feels wrong now that I know he is getting hitched to my best friend. I don’t think he will ever be enough for you, no one will. I don’t think I am ready for this. I think I had an idea that things could come to this point but not even my faintest nightmares have prepared me enough for your wedding. You are going to share your life with someone and I know I have to let it happen but a part of me wants to keep you to me forever. It was enough already that I was sharing your love with your parents and that stupid sibling. Anyway, I am trying to cope with it.
Your BFF knows the best!
I know I’ve been talking about how scary your wedding will be for me but being an important milestone in life, marriage is probably giving you some serious cold feet. I know everything will be just fine because your BFF knows the best! Scared that something will go wrong at the wedding? I’ll take care of things. I took care of all our secrets pretty well too and that doesn’t end here, either. Whatever it is you need, you can leave it up to me. I will ensure everyone enjoys your best day, more than they enjoyed their first love. There will be just happiness, good food and good wine here.
I know everything about you and I still love you.
There is not a thing I would like to change about you and I think that’s saying too much because you’ve got your fair share of vices, like the rest of us. I know everything about you and I still love you. That’s how strong our friendship is. I remember your first kiss and your first dance better than you do. I remember who made you happy and who put you in misery because I have always taken care of the latter. I will continue to do it. I want you to know that this start of a new relationship doesn’t mean I will not be here for you anymore. If you ever lose faith in yourself, I will be here to lend you my eyes to see how important you are. If someone ever speaks badly about you, I will beat them. No one bad-mouths my best friend, not even you!
Do not be confused now. You have literally never romantically loved someone as much as you love this creature, so please marry it! You deserve the best and nothing less. I will stand by you through your worst times and make sure there are only good ones to follow. This sisterhood/brotherhood is for life. There is no backing out. So, I think this lifelong friendship requires to be commemorated today along with your marriage.
So, here are my vows. You are my best friend and I promise to laugh with you, cry with you, and grow with you. I will love you when we are together and when we are apart. I vow to make your life a cool party until we die, and maybe even after that. We are the best friends anyone could have, we will together be the best parents to each other’s kids too. I vow to love your kids as mine and I vow to beat your lover if he/she cheats on you. I promise to support, comfort, and strengthen you. I vow to love you unconditionally for who you are and who you are going to become.
