They were the one for each other. A perfect match!
There were hardly a few moments where you would see one without the other. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
His friends were a little tired of them. The two would eat together, sleep together and do everything together like a synchronized pair of feet doing salsa.
But today, of all days, he realized his love. They weren’t together anymore and it was becoming too much to handle for him.
The pain of not being together was as strong as their love and the bond they shared. The loss of such love seemed like such a waste. Even his friends came to him for support. They knew he wouldn’t be able to stand the ache alone. Even they mourned his loss.
He sat in a corner, isolated and alone, looking too pale to be normal. He was mouthing something, as if speaking to somebody but there was no one around.
A friend of his walked over to him but he didn’t notice her, he was so lost. She quietly stood there listening to what he was mumbling.
He – I realized the depth of our love the day I lost you!
A pained expression overtook her face and she placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. He jerked to reality and looking at her, broke down.
He – How am I going to live?
She – Don’t worry. We’ll get you a new one.
He – But I don’t want a new one. We were so comfortable together. We were together for so long. Who knows what a new phone is going to be like.
She nodded her head in grief.
