For him, she was the most beautiful girl in the world. To be honest, he couldn’t look at any other girl, he was that blinded!
It was difficult to imagine a time when he was a serious, aggressive lawyer with little happiness in his life. He was often nicknamed Grumpy.
But how the tables had turned! He smiled goofily at every little thing that reminded him of her. He would often be found daydreaming about her and smiling randomly into the void.
Love often does that to you!
So today, when his friend came up to him and found him looking at an ordinary flower, smiling idiotically, it was no surprise.
She snapped her fingers in front of his face as an attempt to break him of his reverie.
He – I didn’t see you there.
She (smiling) – It doesn’t seem like you see anything these days, does it?
He smiled shyly.
She – So, tell me, what’s she like?
His eyes suddenly became unfocused and another silly smile spread across his face.
He – Poetry! She’s like a brilliantly written poem, beautiful yet difficult for all to understand. She’s a rebel in her own ways but there’s beauty even in her revolt. She’s so many things at once and I know she’s the one for me.
She looked adoringly at him.
“What love can do!” she thought to herself.
She – I know it’s rude to ask, but how old is she?
He – 2!
She looked appalled.
She – Isn’t that a crime?
He – What? Since when is loving your daughter a crime?
She – Daughter?
He – Yes! I adopted a two year old last month and she is a God send!
