This was their first date!
After weeks of talking via text, they finally decided to meet each other.
She thought he would sense her nervousness. But in her nervousness she failed to notice his anxiety. Both fumbled and then laughed at each other’s awkwardness. They were a perfect match.
They talked and talked and found similarities and differences. They came to know how both were visiting Kashmir last summer and how both had stayed at the same hotel and still hadn’t bumped into each other.
It was all going well until it suddenly started to rain. The roof top café had to be vacated and they all ran for shade.
He found a safe spot and looked around for her. She was nowhere to be seen.
And then he finally saw her. There she was, dancing in the rain, splashing the collected puddles. She looked like a two-year old with a candy. He looked at her and laughed.
He – “Are you crazy?
You’ve lost your mind. You’ll catch a cold.”
She (laughing) – “Looks like you’ve never followed your heart.”
And she went back to dancing. He looked at her in awe and then letting go of everything that held him back, he joined her. They laughed and giggled and danced!
And then in that one moment he knew she was the one he would marry.
